Money laundering - the act of transformation of money or other monetary instruments received as a result of any illegal activity into money or investments that appear legitimate, so that its illegal source can not be traced.
Procedures and methods
Purpose, a series of measures and procedures to fight with money laundering, which uses the my-Xchange for the identification of these operations is to ensure that customers using the services of my-Xchange in equal measure was identified by a single standard. Thus minimizing their own risks and the risk of law-abiding clients to be involved in the illegal actions of third parties. my-Xchange positions itself by helping international organizations fighting with money laundering. Therefore, we have introduced a package of measures to identify customers who help keep track of suspicious transactions in the system.
To minimize the risks associated with money laundering and the financing of terrorist acts, we categorically do not accept or send payments to the third unidentified persons. Every customer who is enshrined in its own account may send or receive payments using only their own account whether the account in the electronic payment systems, bank accounts, credit/debit cards. We have the right to refuse to conduct operations/transactions at any stage, if the assumption that the transaction in any way connected with money laundering or criminal activity.
Following the policy of «Know Your Customer» we can make the identification customers in the system. In this case, the customer must provide two documents.
First document - identification document issued by government which have a photo. This can be internal or travel passport, driver's license (for countries where a driver's license - a primary identification document, such as the U.S.), or local identity (except for corporate access cards). The second document, which we can ask it's utility bill or bank statement which appear full name and address of customer, not older more than 3 months.
Also customer should confirm phone number.
After identification, the status of the account is automatically raised and the client is able to use all the features of the system.
To prevent compromise of sensitive customer data, download documents and information produced through a special interface client account over a secure HTTPS protocol.
Responsibility of operator services to comply with this policy
Responsibilities of the operator service to comply with policies against money laundering and legalization funds obtained by illegal means:
- — keep customer's transactions history 3 years;
- — tracking and identification of suspicious transactions;
- — providing information about the client and his transaction to the appropriate law enforcement official request;
- — suspension of suspicious transactions to ascertain the circumstances suspicious and return funds to the source of funds;
- — decline to make a suspicious transaction.
